၀ိသာခါ နကၡတ္ႏွင့္ယွဥ္ေသာ ကဆုန္ညျပည့္၊ ဗုဒၵဟူးေန႔(နံနက္အာရုဏ္တက္ခ်ိန္) သကၠရာဇ္ ၁၀၃ ခုႏွစ္တြင္ သဗၺညဳဗုဒၵအျဖစ္ေရာက္ေတာ္မူခဲ့ပါသည္။
There will be many Buddhas in the future.
ေနာင္အနာဂါတ္မွာလည္း ဘုရားမ်ားစြာ ပြင့္လာပါဦးမည္။
Metteyya will be the name of the future Buddha.
ေနာင္တြင္ပြင့္ေတာ္မူမည့္ ဗုဒၶ၏ဘြဲ႔ေတာ္မွာ ေမေတၱယ်ဘုရားျဖစ္ပါသည္။
FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS . သစၥာ (၄)ပါး
1. The First Noble Truth is Suffering (dukkha sacca).
ခႏၵာငါးပါးသည္ ဆင္းရဲျခင္းသာတည္းဟု စသည္ျဖင့္သိေသာ ဒုကၡသစၥာ။
2. The Second Noble Truth is the Cause of Suffering (samudayasacca).
ခႏၵာကုိယ္ကုိတြယ္တာမူ(တဏွာ) သည္ ဒုကၡျဖစ္ေစေသာအေၾကာင္း သမုဒယသစၥာ။
3. The Third Noble Truth is the End of Suffering (nirodha sacca).
တဏွာခ်ဳပ္ျငိမ္းမူသည္ ဆင္းရဲျငိမ္းမူပင္ျဖစ္သည္ ဟုသိေသာ နိေရာဓသစၥာ။
4.The Fourth Noble Truth is the path leading to the End of Suffering (magga sacca).
ဆင္းရဲျငိမ္းေၾကာင္းျဖစ္ေသာ မဂၢင္(၈)ပါး မဂၢသစၥာ။

ATTAINMENT OF BUDDHAHOOD. ဘုရားအျဖစ္သုိ႔ေရာက္ရွိျခင္း
He changed his method as his penances proved useless.
သူ၏ပင္ပန္းဆင္းရဲလွေသာအက်င့္ျဖင့္ တရားထူးမရ၊ အက်ဳိးမရွိေသာေၾကာင့္ ၄င္း၏နည္းလမ္းကုိေျပာင္းလဲခဲ့၏။
He gave up extremes and adopted the Middle path (majjhimapatipada)
ဘုရားေလာင္းသည္ အစြန္းတရား ၂ ပါးကုိစြန္႔လႊတ္ျပီးေနာက္ မဇၥ်ိမပတိပဒါေခၚ အလယ္အလတ္လမ္းစဥ္ကုိ လက္ခံက်င့္သုံးခဲ့၏
The extremes are enjoyment in pleasures and self torture in pain.
ေပ်ာ္ရႊင္မႈကုိ အလြန္အက်ဴးခံစားျခင္းႏွင့္ မိမိကုိယ္ကုိ အလြန္အက်ဴး ညွင္းပန္းႏွိပ္စက္ျခင္းတုိ႔ျဖစ္ပါသည္။
့He thought that he needed strength to gain Buddhahood .So he gave up fasting and ate some of the normal food.
အေလာင္းေတာ္သည္ ဘုရားအျဖစ္ေရာက္ရွိရန္ ခြန္အားရွိဖုိ႔လုိသည္ဟု ေတြးေတာဆင္ျခင္ခဲ့၏။ ထုိ႔ေၾကာင့္ အစာေရွာင္ျခင္း အစားအစာမစာပဲေနျခင္းကုိ စြန္႔လႊတ္ျပီးေနာက္ ဆြမ္းအာဟာရကုိမွ်တေအာင္ဘုန္းေပးခဲ့၏။
A generous lady named Sujata offered him some milk rice.
သုဇာတာအမည္ရ အလွဴအတန္းရက္ေရာေသာ အမ်ဳိးသမီးငယ္သည္ ႏုိ႔ဃနာဆြမ္းကုိ လွဴဒါန္းခဲ့ပါသည္။
He felt strong and made a firm resolve not to rise from his seat until he gained Buddhahood.
ငါသည္ ဘုရားမျဖစ္သမွ် ကွဳ္ ကၠုရိယာပုဒ္ကုိ မဖ်က္ေတာ့အံ့ ဟု ဓိဌာန္ခဲ့ပါသည္။
ံHe sat under the famous Bodhi Tree at Buddha Gaya.
ဘုရားေလာင္းေတာ္သည္ ဗုဒၵဂယာရွိ ထင္ရွားေသာ ေဗာဓိပင္၏ေအာက္တြင္ ထုိင္ေနေတာ္မူခဲ့ပါသည္။
It is called the Bodhi Tree because the Bodhisatta gained Buddhahood under that tree.
ေဗာဓိသတၱဘုရားေလာင္းသည္ ထုိအပင္၏ေအာက္မွ ဗုဒၵအျဖစ္ေရာက္ရွိေသာေၾကာင့္ ထုိအပင္ကုိ ေဗာဓိပင္ဟုေခၚပါသည္။
He gained the knowledge by which he was able to remember past lives.
(ညဥ့္ဦးယံမွာ)လြန္ေလျပီးေသာ ဘ၀ေပါင္းမ်ားစြာကုိ ျပန္သိနဳိင္စြမ္းေသာ ပုေဗၺနိ၀ါသာ ႏုသ္သတိဥာဏ္ကုိရရွိခဲ့ပါသည္။
He obtained the Divine Eye by which he was able to see the death and rebirth of beings.
(သန္းေခါင္ယံမွာ) သုံးဆယ့္တစ္ဘုံလုံးမွာ (ေမြးဖြားျခင္း၊ ေသဆုံးျခင္း) ျဖစ္ပ်က္ရဳ္ ေနၾကကုန္ေသာ သတၱ၀ါအးလုံးကုိ ျမင္စြမ္းနဳိင္ေသာ ဒိဗၺစကၡဳဥာဏ္ကုိရရွိခဲ့ပါသည္။
He destryed all passions, realized the Four Noble truths,and became a Samma Sambuddha.
(မုိးေသာက္ယံမွာ) ကိေလသာအားလုံးပ်က္စီးရဳ္ သစၥာ(၄)ပါးကုိ သိျမင္လွ်က္ သမၼာသမၺဳဒၵ -သဗၺညဳဗုဒၵအျဖစ္သုိ႔ေရာက္ေတာ္မူပါသည္။

ေရွးဦးစြာသူသည္ ထင္ရွားေက်ာ္ေဇာေသာ အာဠာရကာလာမထံ သုိ႔သြားရဳ္ ၄င္းထံမွတရားကိုနည္းခံယူေလ၏။
He was not pleased with his system because he could teach him up to a certain mental stage only.
ရေသ့၏ သင္ျပမႈတုိ႔မွာ ေလာကီစ်ာန္အဆင့္မွ်ကုိသာ သင္ေပးနဳိင္းေသာေၾကာင့္ဘုရားေလာင္းသည္ အားရတင္းတိမ္ျခင္းမရွိခဲ့ပါ။
As he did not get what he sought he went againg to another famous ascetic named Udaka Ramaputta.
၄င္းရွာေဖြေနေသာတရားကိုမေတြ႔ရွိေသာေၾကာင့္ ေနာက္တစ္ဖန္ဥဒက ရာမပုတၱ ဟုေခၚေသာ ထင္ရွားေသာ ရေသ့ၾကီးတစ္ပါးထံ သြားေရာက္ခဲ့ပါသည္။
He was not pleased with his system either as he could also teach only up to a certain higher mental stage.
ထုိဥဒကရေသ႔ၾကီးမွလည္း အထက္စ်ာန္အဆင့္ မွ်အထိသာ သင္ၾကားေပးနဳိင္ေသာေၾကာင့္ ထုိရေသ့ၾကီး၏ သင္ၾကားမႈကုိလည္းေက်နပ္ႏွစ္သက္ျခင္းမရွိခဲ့ေပ။
့Because he was seeking Nibbana, the end of all sufferings.
ဘုရားေလာင္းသည္ ဒုကၡခပ္သိမ္းခ်ဳပ္ျငိမ္းရာ နိဗၺာန္သြားရာလမ္းကုိသာရွာေဖြေနျခင္းျဖစ္ပါသည္။
He chose Uruvela, a beautiful quiet spot.
ဘုရားေလာင္းေတာ္သည္ တိတ္ဆိတ္ေအးခ်မ္းရဳ္ သာယာလွပေသာဥရုေ၀လေတာ အုပ္ကုိေရြးခ်ယ္ခဲ့ပါသည္။
Five monks named Kondanna, Vappa, Bhaddiya, Mahanama, and Assaji, attended on him.
ေကာ႑ည၊ ၀ပၸ၊ ဘဒၵိယ၊ မဟာနာမ္ ႏွင့္ အသ္သဇိဟုေခၚေသာ ပဥၥ၀ဂၢီ ငါးပါးမွ အလုပ္ေၾကြးျပဳခဲ့ၾကသည္
He struggled for six long years.
(၆)ႏွစ္လုံးလုံး ၾကဳိးပမ္းအားထုတ္ခဲ့ရပါသည္။
He did many penances. He underwent much suffering. He practised many forms of severe austerity. He tormented his body so much so that his body was reduced to almost a skeleton.
သူသည္မိမိကုိယ္ကုိ မိမိ အျပစ္ေပးျခင္း၊ ဒုကၡအခက္အခဲ မ်ားစြာကုိ ခံစားခဲ့ရသည္။ ဒုကၠရစရိယာေခၚ ျပဳနဳိင္ခဲေသာအက်င့္အမ်ဳိးမ်ဳိ္းတုိ႔ကို က်င့္ခဲ့၏။ (ဥပမာ- ဆြမ္းမစားပဲေနျခင္းစသည္) ထုိသုိ႔ခႏၵာကုိယ္ကုိ ညွင္းပန္းသကဲ့သုိ႔ က်င့္ေဆာင္ျခင္းၾကာင့္ ၄င္း၏ခႏၵာကုိယ္မွာ အေသြးအသားမ်ား မရွိေတာ့ဘဲ အရုိးႏွင့္အေရသာ က်န္ရွိခဲ့ေတာ့၏။

စုိေျပ၀ါ၀င္းေသာ အဆင္းေတာ္သည္ ညဳိပဲေျခာင္ေသြ႔သြားေတာ့၏။ အေသြးေတာ္မ်ားခန္းေျခာက္သြားခဲ့ဲျပီ ၄င္း၏မ်က္စိေတာ္မ်ားမွာ မ်က္လုံးအိမ္အတြင္း ခ်ဳိင့္ရဳ္ ၀င္ေန၏ ဘုရားေလာင္းသည္ ေသလုဆဲဆဲအေျခေနသုိ႔ေရာက္ခဲ့ေပ၏။

Her father was King Suppabuddha.
သူမ၏ ဖခင္အမည္မွာ သုပၸဗုဒၵ ဘုရင္ျဖစ္ပါသည္။
သိဒၵတၳသည္ ေခ်ာေမာလွပေသာ ၀မ္းကြဲႏွမျဖစ္သူ မင္းသမီး ယေသာ္ဓရာ ႏွင့္လက္ဆက္ခဲ့ပါသည္။

He was named Siddhattha which means wish-fulfilled.
ဘုရားေလာင္းေတာ္အား ဆႏၵရွိတုိင္း ျပည့္၀သူ သိဒၶတၳ ဟု အမည္ေပးခဲ့သည္။
ွSeven of them raised two fingers and said that the prince would either become a Universal Monarch or a Buddha. But the youngest Kondanna raised one finger and said that he would surely become a Buddha.
ပုဏၰားမ်ားထဲမွ (ရ)ဦးမွာ လက္ (၂)ေခ်ာင္းေထာင္ရဳ္ ကုဳ္ကေလးသည္စၾကၤာ၀ေတးမင္းသုိ႔မဟုတ္ ဘုရားျဖစ္မည္ဟု နိမိတ္ဖတ္ခဲ့၏။ သုိ႔ရာတြင္ အငယ္ဆုံးျဖစ္ေသာ ေကာ႑ညမွလက္ညွဳိးတစ္ေခ်ာင္းကုိသာေထာင္လွ်က္ကွဳ္ကေလးငယ္သည္ဧကန္မုခ်ဘုရားျဖစ္လိမ့္မည္ဟု ၾကဳိတင္ေဟာခဲ့ပါသည္။
ဘုရားေလာင္းေတာ္အား ဆႏၵရွိတုိင္း ျပည့္၀သူ သိဒၶတၳ ဟု အမည္ေပးခဲ့သည္။
